BIO
Actress and singer Isabel Schwartzbach was trained at the Danish National Academy of Music, majoring in classical voice, as well as studying under famed coloratura soprano Louise Fribo. She furthered her studies at Stella Adler Studio of Acting’s 3-year Conservatory in New York City. Her striking vocal ability has garnered numerous roles and significant press coverage.
In 2018 Schwartzbach starred as Maria, the lead role in the first major professional production of West Side Story in Denmark in years (Aarhus Theater and Aalborg Theater). Immediately following West Side Story, she starred as Christine Daaé in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera at The New Theater, Copenhagen, in 2018-2019. Other professional credits include Maria Rainer in The Sound of Music (Hedeland Amphitheater), Cosette in Les Misérables (Aarhus Theater), and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof (The New Theater). For these roles she received acclaim and numerous accoldates such as the Inge Dam’s Grant for Young, Promising Actors, bestowed by legendary actor Per Pallesen.
Isabel Schwartzbach has performed as a soloist with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, the Odense Symphony Orchestra, the Tivoli Promenade Orchestra, and the Danish Chamber Orchestra. She will be making her debut with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra at their 2023 Christmas concert.
TV credits include performing at the annual music award show P3 Guld (DR1 national broadcast) alongside renowned Danish singers Tobias Rahim, Kidd, and Burhan G (Nov 2021), multiple performances on Good Morning Denmark (TV2 live national broadcast), and Knæk Cancer, Denmark’s annual and biggest fundraiser for cancer (TV2 live on tape Oct 2023). Furthermore she is a voice actress for Netflix and Disney, including being the Danish voice of Belle in Disney on Ice and Isabel Fezziwig in Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, a Netflix Original Movie.
